Indeed it is! The weather might not believe that just yet (25+ degree days still... very unusual for this time of year), but judging by all the fallish goodies that are making an appearance in the stores these days Fall can't be very far around the corner. However, I don't think Costco got this memo... seeing as they skipped past fall right into Christmas it seems haha. Typical!
Well I personally refuse to think about Winter just yet! I love fall too much to even think about snow before the month of November. I love the colours, sights and smells of Fall. Tree leaves turning red and yellow, the smell of frost as you step out the door in the morning, burning wood in woodstoves, ohhhhh and the food. It is my favourite season for sure.
Feeding my fall kick I've got a couple of fall themed charts lined up and have started Lizzie Kate's Mystery Sampler... I've been merrily stitching away since receiving my fabric a couple of weeks ago (finally) which was followed just a couple of days later with the second instalment of the series making an appearance in the mail box. All I can say is YEY! Loving every stitch :)
See! I have not been idle since my last update on August 11 (btw...yikes!).
I also received this lovely package from my exchange partner last week from my seasonal exchange! Her name escapes me for the moment however - will have to make an edit for this when I get home today. Anyway, I simply cannot wait any longer to post a pic to show you all the lovely orni she created! It smelled so wonderfully of lavender when I opened the envelope. Apparently this was because she had put lavender buds from her garden into ornament! The smell was to die for. So a BIG THANK YOU to my exchange partner :) [EDIT: Who is LYNN from Ok Stitching News That Counts!!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!]
Well my darlings,
That's all from me today!
Happy Stitching,
Melissa
