A Moose-y Update

Happy Wednesday!

Just a quick update today on my most recent WIP.

Stitching over one has been a real challenge especially since I'm using two stands of floss. I find an even and uniform stitch is hard to accomplish and I kind of wish I had decided to use just one strand if I was going to stitch over 1 in the first place! Lessons Learned!!! I don't think I'll be stitching over 1 again anytime soon.

But I cannot wait to finish this WIP to start another!!!! CCN's Santa's House (part one of a  12 part series - OHHHH the stitching fun) came to me in the mail the other day and I simply cannot wait to stitch it! But I keep telling myself to be disciplined and finish what I've got started and then start in on Santa's House.

Also, if you'd like to possibly receive a RAK this coming year by yours truly be sure to throw your name into the pot! You can sign-up here by leaving a comment :) Sign-ups end December 31!

Ciao for now :)

  2. Hi Melissa! I love him. I stitch with one floss when I stitch over one on 28ct or higher. That is what I have discovered over the years anyhow.

  3. The moose is adorable. And you get lots of extra points for stitching with two threads. Way to go!

  4. Can't imagine how difficult that must have been, but it looks so cute!

  5. Your stitching looks great and that design looks really nice. I'm not very experienced in stitching over one and I really admire all who does it.

  9. There's a Moose loose about this hoose. He looks fantastic. Over 1 is a pain, but so worth the effort.

  10. Your moose is adorable, Melissa! When I stitch over one I only use 1 strand--two is just too difficult to work with.

  12. I know exactly what you mean. For me over one stitching is just a pain, so I try to avoid charts that have over one. But it's not always possible.
But your little moose was worth every over one stitch. He's so cute.

  16. He's Moovelous....lol!! Yup, I made that mistake too with stitching 1 over 1 with two threads. But the finished result makes it worth it!

Merry Christmas Melissa to you and your family!!
